Hi! We’re Ani & Hannah, two creative besties teaming up to create beginner-friendly patterns that don’t compromise on design.

Our mission is to make cross stitch welcoming, beautiful, and deeply human.

The Cross Stitch Conservatory was started to bridge the gap between thoughtfully styled cross stitch designs and those just beginning their stitching journey, because beginners deserve beauty too. By offering thorough, intentionally crafted stitching patterns, we invite people to embrace this deeply traditional craft with confidence and unbridled curiosity.

Since the dark ages of our days as Communication Design students, Hannah and I have both been intensely motivated by work that matters - for us, it’s not enough to make the world beautiful if we can also make it better. So we decided to create a project rooted in socially conscious values, inspired by the beauty of our world and the people who live in it. Each collection of patterns & kits we offer will be inspired by a different social cause, & the proceeds of each collection will be donated to an organization supporting that collection’s cause in tangible ways.

Hannah and I see cross stitch as a very human tradition worth preserving. Just as craft is a treasure that passes from generation to generation, so too is the world we live in. Through creativity, care, and intentional design, we aim to preserve this unique craft while helping our planet & her people, giving folks a comforting way to slow down, reconnect with themselves and impact our shared home for the better.
