The dirty bones philosophy
I’m Anfisa, and I believe in being loud, being weird, and taking up space - unapologetically.
I started Dirty Bones as a freelance design company, hoping to make some extra cash on the side and pursue my passion for design more independently. However, it quickly became clear to me that my heart yearned for more - more connection, more impact, more authenticity.
So I took a step back, then pivoted. I leaned into the passion I had for teaching that was born hosting AIGA workshops as a college student and teaching at daycares. Dirty Bones Design Co was reborn as Dirty Bones Creative Co - a project focused on teaching & sharing creativity with those who have the least access to it.
Dirty Bones was born out of a desire to carve out space for myself in this world & inspire others to do the same. Creativity can be extremely freeing, but it can also be intimidating if you don’t know where to start. By teaching and sharing my passion for art and process with folks of all ages, I aim to deepen people’s connection with themselves and the world around them.
Whether you catch me pressing prints out in San Antone or invite me into your classroom, I hope that you walk away from your Dirty Bones experience feeling uplifted, inspired, and thinking “wow - I CAN do cool things!”
